THE ROAD TO THE LITERARY WORLD

Today marks my first year journey in the literary world with the torch bearer, Mr Tony Bartolome, as my guide.  I couldn’t thank him enough for taking me to this road.  When I told him so, he said he merely lighted a candle’s wick without realizing he was igniting a flame-thrower!  As this very humble man lights a glow in my heart, firing me up to write, his light increases. And the torch bearers in my life had grown since then.

On day 1, at Mr B’s  (his alias on then TFNow On TV; now “Big Toe“, the Art Director, on eFootprints) office, I got loads of “go-for-its” from the staff –Atty Albay, Arlene, and Ms Cathy (then an article contributor for TFNow magazine; now, “French Tip“, the President of The Writers’ Guild –the soul of eFootprints).  I never had the chance to meet TFNow’s editor –the late Ms Linda Layosa, but blessed enough to receive an encouraging note from her five days prior to her death.

The Filipino Now International magazine published five of my articles; two of which was in its last publication.  It’s now out of circulation but I’m still with Mr B. . . in our new home — eFootprints.  This time with much bigger, warmer, wonderful, nurturing, loving family.  Mr David “Big Foot” Chua leads the pack.  His jolly comments make one gassy, the serious remarks light a glow, fuel the heart’s desire, and ease the hurt in one’s heart.  Ms Carmen “Cute headTop to toeTips” makes my heart sing with her funny tales on her “pamamalengke” — the Marketing Executive in the house.  “The Traveler” sweet Ms Kim is the big sister I still haven’t met in person but I already love.  One day I’d love to give a big bear hug to Mrs Marden whose light created the foundation of The House of eFootprints.  One day I’d like to shake hands with the other artist in The house –Ms Christine.

The light from the hearts of these literary souls in this li’l house called eFootprints could illuminate the entire universe.  It houses a rainbow of races, the world under one roof, a family of torch bearers spreading their light.  The historian Mr Reid (my cyberspace guide — with his wife dear Ms loveLydia) is in it, too, along with other amazing people who chose to leave their marks to serve as guides, signposts, and light for other travelers in this journey called Life…
